What We Offer

 For the timeless teachings of yoga to resonate with the student they must first have truly resonated with the teacher. My guiding principle is therefore to offer to others the postures, moving sequences, breathing exercises, therapeutic practices, guided meditations and deep relaxation techniques that I myself have found to be beneficial. This personal distillation of the teachings I have received ensures, in turn, the authenticity and integrity of my own teaching.

I draw on a number of different schools and styles of yoga. The classes have a solid foundation in the principles of traditional Hatha yoga (as taught by the Sivananda lineage), but I will often blend in elements of, for example,  therapeutic, vinyasa, dance or yin yoga, together with meditation and yoga nidra. Props such as blocks, bolsters and straps are always available to assist people in finding a stable and beneficial physical expression of the posture - and they are sometimes an integral part of the class.

Om Shanti

 By using the breath to remain present and aware during practice, we gradually learn how to connect consciously with that energy, illuminating and transforming our experience from moment to moment. In this way, our yoga mat becomes a wonderful training ground for life as we cherish this new-found state of higher consciousness and gradually bring it into daily lives.

Our Classes

Designed for small groups (maximum four people) or individuals, private classes allow me to tailor the meditation, postures and breathing exercises to the specific needs or requests of the individual(s).

 

All classes are designed to offer a  balanced and holistic experience for body, mind and energies leaving one with a lasting sense  of peace and well-being. 

 

Duration : the typical duration of a class is 2 hours.

 

Location : classes take place at my own studio near Vaison-la-Romaine or upon request at the premises of the client
